A Colorado construction worker was returning home from a job site early one day recently when he saw something in the road that had him slamming on his breaks.

Ronny Rose immediately pulled over in an alley and ran out into the road to make sure he had seen what he thought he saw. Sure enough, there were three female Rottweiler puppies that could not have been more than three weeks old huddled together in a pile. As a dog lover and father of three, Ronny knew that he could not leave them there, and that he would only have a few seconds to get them off the road to safety before they would get hit.

The puppies were so cute that he figured they must have just gotten lost from their owner. Scooping them up and putting them in his truck, he set out on a mission to find whoever owned the puppies. He went door too door and posted photos of them on social media and various neighborhood watch sites, but when nobody came forward to claim them, Ronny came to the sad realization that they were abandoned.

Not wanting to see the puppies be abandoned for a second time, Ronny scooped them up and put them back in his truck to take them to his roofing company. He knew that some of his coworkers would be willing to take the puppies, and sure enough, he was able to find forever homes for all three of them right in his office!
