Janice Hall is a 71 year-old woman who was recently struggling to walk her groceries home in the sweltering summer heat of Oklahoma City. She had been running errands all day on foot without a car, and after already going to the post office, Walmart, and the bank, she still had two miles to go to make it home.

Janice is used to doing her errands on foot without a car, but given how hot and humid it was on this day, she was having a very difficult time. Though she clearly needed help, everyone was ignoring her as they drove by her on the busy street. That all changed when Jibril Jennings, an airman from Tinker Air Force Base, drove by. He knew right away that he had to help her, and he had no idea at the time that he was on camera.

Without hesitating, Jibril pulled over and began loading Janice’s groceries into his trunk. Meanwhile, another driver had pulled up behind them and was filming the good deed, and the video went viral as soon as it was posted on social media.

“What a great man God bless you and protect you all the time,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “That’s a beautiful thing I believe everybody should help out the elderly. Because you can learn a lot from them.”

“In times like these with so much separation, we need to share the kindness all around!” a third user wrote. “What a nice man and a sweet lady.”
