When most people think of biker gangs, they typically think of big tough guys who the rest of us should be scared of. Now, however, one American biker gang is reminding the world how important it is to never judge a book by it’s cover.

Rescue Ink is a non-profit animal rescue organization that is comprised of bikers, weightlifters, veterans, police officers, and even lawyers. They may have huge biceps and tattoos, but their one goal is to keep animals safe from any form of abuse.

Rescue Ink investigates allegations of animal abuse, and if they find that an animal is being harmed, members of the group take care of it before finding the creature a loving forever home.

“Some people like to think of us as superheroes,” the group’s website states. “The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”

Rescue Ink has saved animals from all kinds of situations. Some of their biggest accomplishments include breaking up illegal dog-fighting and dog breeding rings, stopping people from killing stray cats, and working hard to change the lives of animals being neglected by their owners.

As soon as they find out a human is abusing an animal, Rescue Ink immediately goes to the police.

“Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law — that’s what our lawyers tell us to say — to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds,” their mission states.

Members of Rescue Ink are constantly going above and beyond to save animals. They are willing to do whatever it takes to keep ALL animals safe.

In addition, Rescue Ink hosts talks and presentations about the dangers of animal abuse. They find their mission to be particularly important because they think people who abuse animals have problems that could lead them to abuse people, too.

Each day, Rescue Ink gets around 250 calls from locations all over the world. They take each one of them, and do anything they can to help the animals involved. Find out more about this amazing group in the video below.
