A delicious new dish has become the latest viral food craze to take over the internet, and it’s something that your whole family will definitely enjoy!

Chicken kiev is a Russian and Ukranian style of chicken that is full of flavor and VERY easy to make. All you need to make this dish is:

  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of Panko or other seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of softened, unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of minced, fresh parsley
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • vegetable oil
  • salt
  • pepper

To start this dish, you need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While you wait, grab a medium mixing bowl and beat together your butter, parsley, garlic and lemon juice in order to make your butter mixture. Make sure that you season the mixture with lots of salt and pepper.

Then, roll the melted butter mix into a roll of plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator while you continue cooking. Once you have done this, take your chicken breasts and put them between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper before pounding them so that they are around 1/4 inch thick. Another way you can do this is slice your chicken breasts carefully in half and cut a pocket into them.

The next step involves putting a cube of your butter inside the the middle of your chicken breasts. Fold in the sides to keep the butter inside, and you can use a toothpick to make sure it stays sealed.

Then, heat up a few inches of vegetable oil in a large pot on medium-high heat until its hot enough for water to evaporate in instantly. Put your flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another and breadcrumbs with parmesan in a third bowl. Once you have done this, take each breast and dip your chicken in the flour, shake it off, dip it in egg, shake it off and then dip it in your breadcrumb mix until it’s fully coated.

When the chicken has been coated, throw the breasts in your hot pan and cook it on all sides until it all turns golden brown, then take the breasts to a plate lined with paper towels when you’re finished. Once you have done this with all the breasts, move them to a glass baking dish.

When the oven is heated, throw your baking dish in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked. After it’s done, take out the chicken and serve it with potatoes and vegetables!

It really is that easy! Find out more about this in the video below.
