Children everywhere have fallen in love with the song “Let It Go” from the Disney movie Frozen over the past few years. Though parents get tired of playing the song on loop over and over again, there’s no denying that the song really is magical.

Like any other child, little Ava Grace Parnell absolutely loves the signature song of Queen Elsa. Sadly, unlike most other children, Ava had to turn to the song for comfort as she received chemotherapy treatments while battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Just before her 2nd birthday, Ava started getting many unexplained fevers, so her mother Candy rushed her to the pediatrician. After some testing, Ava was taken to the Palmetto Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, where she was then hospitalized for three straight weeks. Over the next 28 months, Ava had to go to the hospital for grueling chemotherapy treatments as well as for emergency visits for her fevers.

Though Ava bonded with her care team over the years, she was still uneasy about her painful treatments. To comfort her, the staff would pick a movie or song to distract her during them, and her favorite was always Frozen.

When it came time for Ava to get her chest port removed, her care team not only played “Let It Go,” they joined in and sang along as well!

Ava’s anesthesiologist caught the adorable moment on camera, and it quickly went viral, with people all over the world being touched by Ava’s reaction. Check out the video for yourself below, and please keep Ava in your thoughts and prayers!
