Chick-fil-A employees are known for going above and beyond to keep their customers happy. In a recent viral video, however, one Chick-fil-A worker takes this one step further by saving a customer’s life.

Logan Simmons was working his normal shift at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hall County, Georgia when a panicked mother showed up in the drive-thru lane begging for help. The woman was in the driver’s seat, and she said her 6 year-old son had gotten the seatbelt wrapped around his neck in the backseat, and the little boy was starting to lose color.

Without hesitating, Logan jumped through the drive-thru window as soon as he heard the calls for help. Rushing over to the woman’s car, he climbed into the backseat and used his pocketknife to cut the boy free from the seatbelt, saving his life in the process. The mother was overwhelmed with gratitude for the teenager’s quick-thinking that saved the life of her child. Logan’s own mother also could not have been more proud of her son.

“I’m amazed he didn’t panic,” she said. “As his mother, I would have panicked. I’d be running around going, ‘Oh my gosh! What do we do?’”

Logan, on the other hand, has been humble about all the praise that he’s gotten, saying he was just in the right place at the right time. While that may be true, not many people could have kept their cool like he did in this high stress situation, and that makes him a hero in my book!
