By the time he was in kindergarten, Broc Brown already stood at 5’2. He was growing incredibly quickly, growing at least 6 inches every year.

At one point in his life, Broc was thought to be the tallest teenager in the world, and he is now 7’9, weighing 500 pounds and with 28-inch feet. The young man needs custom-made clothing, an 8 foot bed, and even a specially made chair just so he can sit down on it.

Broc was born with Sotos syndrome, which is also known as cerebral gigantism, and he only had one kidney at birth. After he was born, doctors told Broc’s mother that he would not survive past his teenager years, but at 22 years of age, he has now proven them wrong.

Unfortunately, surviving to 22 has not been easy for Broc. He was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and he has issues with both his mobility and his stamina. Socializing has always been hard for Broc, and it was especially difficult for him during his adolescent years.

More than anything else, Broc has always wanted to have a stable job. All he’s wanted is to be able to take pride in completing his adult responsibilities just like anyone else would. In a 2016 interview, Broc expressed his dreams of one day working in a sporting goods store. His interview quickly went viral, touching the hearts of internet users everywhere. Three years later, Broc has managed to make this dream come true, much to his own surprise!
