Chris Kaag is a Marine Corps veteran from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania who suffered a major injury while serving his country in Bosnia that left him bound to a wheelchair. Though Chris was happy to come home to his family, he is no longer able to enjoy the same outdoor activities that he was passionate about when he was able to walk. Thankfully, however, that is all about to change because of an incredible act of generosity.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are a country music duo who make up the group Florida Georgia Line, and they are passionate about helping veterans who can no longer walk. Ever since 2016, they’ve teamed up with the nonprofit organization the Independence Fund, which gives special wheelchairs to veterans who can’t afford them.

During a concert in Camden, New Jersey on July 13, Tyler and Brian stopped everything to bring Chris and his 6 year-old son onstage.

Along with Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin, the two men gave Chris an all-terrain tracked wheelchair. Chris could not help but get emotional when he saw it, as he knew this gift would change his life!

“Last night was a night that I will never forget,” Chris said afterwards. “The places you can go are unmatched, so I’m really looking forward to getting my son out there and doing some things with my wife. It’s something that can provide me access to woods and all kinds of places that you really can’t do in a regular wheelchair.”

We applaud Florida Georgia Line for stepping up to help veterans in this way! Find out more about what they are doing in the video below.
