There are many difficult aspects of being a parent, and one of them is dealing with the fashion choices that your children make.

Jason Hilley is a father from Orlando, Florida who understands that his daughter Kendall is growing up, but he was still uncomfortable when he saw how much leg she was showing in her new jean shorts. Like most dads of teenage girls, Jason misses the days when she would just wear long jeans and pigtails, but those days are long gone.

Now a teenager, Kendall recently modeled her new jean shorts for her dad, and he was not happy about how she looked in them. To show Kendall just how awkward he felt, Jason did something very unorthodox that has earned him millions of internet fans: he put on the shorts himself!

While Jason’s wife Allison filmed him, he knocked on Kendall’s door to show her how he looked in his own pair of “butt-cuttin’ shorts.” Kendall’s younger brother Walker was laughing before she even opened the door, and when she saw her dad, she could not help but laugh as well!

Jason confidently walked into Kendall’s room and demanded that she put on the shorts. When she innocently asked him which shorts he was talking about, Jason fired back, “The new ones that we just got that were supposed to be a lot longer.”

When Kendall can’t find the shorts at first, Jason ups the ante by saying, “I’m picking you up at school in these every day unless you put them on.” Finally, Kendall stops laughing long enough to put the shorts on. While they certainly aren’t unusually short for a teenage girl, we can see where Jason was coming from!

“You wear yours out in public? I will wear mine! Parenting 101!” Jason wrote alongside the video as he uploaded it to Facebook. The video has since gone viral, being viewed over 52 million times! Check out the video for yourself below.
