Siberian Huskies are beautiful dogs who are known for the amount of love and affection that they give to humans. It’s always sad to see an owner abandon a husky on the street, rather than finding a shelter to put them in. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to the poor husky in this story.

This malnourished husky was found wandering the streets by Rico Soegiarto, who was on his way home from work when he saw her lying in the street. Rico thought of his own four dogs at home when he saw the husky, and he immediately wanted to take her home.

“I don’t know what was special about her,” he said. “It’s about heart and feeling. I found her when I was on the way back home from work, she was in the middle of the street.”

Rico brought the dog home and named her Hope because despite her desperate situation, he saw hope in her eyes. Rico went above and beyond to nurse Hope back to health, and as she gained weight, her friendly personality started to shine through. One year later, Hope looks nothing like the malnourished dog that Rico found on the street.

Hope loves life in Rico’s home, and she has bonded with her four dog siblings to the point where they are her best friends. Rico now feels just as lucky to have found Hope as she feels to have found him!
