In the world of Hollywood, it’s rare to see a marriage that actually lasts and stands the test of time. That’s what makes the 38 year marriage of actor Gary Sinise and his wife Moira Harris so delightfully refreshing!

Sinise, who is best known for playing Lt. Dan in the 1994 film Forrest Gump, has been married to Harris since 1981, and the couple share three children together. In a recent interview, Sinise revealed the secret behind this long-lasting marriage.

“A sense of humor,” he said. “My wife’s a loving, funny, Irish-spirited person, and I’m still surprised at some of the things she says. She makes me laugh every day.”

On top of that, the couple is very supportive of one another. Harris is very involved with her husband’s charity the Gary Sinise Foundation, which helps veterans, first responders, and their families. Sinise has also been there for his wife through her struggles with alcoholism, which he opens up about in his new book “Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service.”

Harris said that while this was a difficult time of her life, she supported her husband’s decision to include it in the book because she wants to help other families who are going through similar situations.

It’s so nice to see a Hollywood couple who are still so in love after so many decades together. We should all be so lucky as to have a marriage like this one!
