Beth Chapman of “Dog The Bounty Hunter” fame has spent the past few months fighting for her life after being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. On Mother’s Day, the 51 year-old wife of Dog The Bounty Hunter, Duane Chapman opened up about her cancer battle during an emotional speech at the Source Church in Bradenton, Florida.

Beth told the congregation that her fight with cancer has been “the ultimate test of faith.”

“I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’ ” she said. “He’ll roll his eyes at me again, because I know why — because this is the ultimate test of faith. It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.”

Beth went on to indicate that she has stopped receiving chemotherapy, and her husband had previously suggested that she had turned to alternative methods of treatment.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people. Sorry, that’s not for me,” Beth said. “So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you. And I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else. Because I think I know another guy who did the same thing.”

“We’ve had an amazing life. We had great fun and we’re still having fun,” Beth continued, adding that she still has a “lot to do” in life and that she believes the “Lord of impossible miracles is going to show up big” for her.

Beth originally beat cancer at the end of 2017, but it returned one year later when she was diagnosed again in November of 2018. This time, doctors told her that her cancer was incurable, but she has since approached the cancer with her characteristic grit and put everything she has into fighting it.
