“The Sound Of Silence” has been one of the most popular songs around ever since it was first performed by the legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel in the 1960s. While many artists have tried their hand at covering the tune since then, we can guarantee that you have never heard it performed like this!

David Draiman, the lead man of the heavy metal group Disturbed, recently took the stage to perform “The Sound Of Silence” in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. His band had decided to recreate the song on their album “Immortalized,” and their rendition of it definitely did not disappoint.

Disturbed manages to keep the peaceful quality that makes this song so loved while also giving it their band’s usual flare. The video performance has quickly gone viral, leaving social media users around the world speechless, as it has been viewed over four million times!

“It is rare, but every so often, a song is written or remade by a singer or a band, that is so powerful that it can bring tears to the eyes of the most hardened heart. This is one of those songs, offered to the world by one of those bands. Bravo!” one social media user commented.

“I’m just not a Disturbed fan, but I must say that, in my 55 years, I do believe this is the most epic cover I have ever heard,” a second user added, with a third writing, “Very seldom does a song cover do the original justice… Not only does Disturbed to it justice in this case but I believe they have improved it, just wow…Powerful performance.”
