A college runner has become a viral sensation this week thanks to his athleticism, as people everywhere are praising him for going above and beyond to win a race.

Infinite Tucker (yes, it’s his real name) is a runner for Texas A&M University who was recently competing at the 2019 SEC Track and Field Championships in the United States. In the video below this story, you’ll see that Infinite was not about to settle for second place.

Infinite had come in second at the same tournament last year, and he had no intention of letting history repeat itself. Though he was running well, he found himself in second place when he got to the last hurdle, so he had to do something drastic if he wanted to get the win.

The runner who was in first place happened to be a teammate of Infinite’s named Robert Grant, and the two of them know each other very well. Infinite knew that Robert would finish the race strongly, so with no other option, he finished the race by leaping forwards head first over the finish line!

This meant that Infinite finished the race with an epic superman dive. We hope that it did not hurt too much when he hit the ground!

In the end, the move paid off because Infinite won the race. Afterwards, he was as humble about it as he could be, only talking about his team instead of taking all the credit himself.

“Honestly, I’m glad I got the win and competed against the best,” Infinite said. “Me and my teammates all worked hard for this and I came out with the win. I’m happy and thankful for that. The mindset was to score as many points as possible, we wanted to go 1-2-3-4. It really didn’t matter which one of us won first place, we knew if we gave it our all we would be happy with each other.”
