A champion gymnast with Down syndrome is redefining what it means to be beautiful by becoming a model.

Chelsea Werner is a young woman who has won four Special Olympic championships in gymnastics. She has just been signed by We Speak, an international fashion agency that aims to encourage people all over the world to love themselves. Chelsea said that she is excited about this opportunity because she believes people with Down syndrome are not represented enough, and her goal is to show the world what people with her condition can do.

Gymnastics has been a huge part of Chelsea’s life from the very beginning, and she credits it with giving her the confidence that she has now. Chelsea has also always dreamed of being a model, but whenever she tried to get signed by an agency, she was immediately turned down.

Finally, in 2017, Chelsea was discovered on social media by We Speak model scouts. Briauna Mariah, the CEO of the agency, saw right away that Chelsea had the potential to both succeed in and change the fashion industry forever. Briauna said that working with Chelsea has been a joy, and that she takes direction in front of the camera well. They are now focusing on building up her portfolio and brand, but she is already gaining quite a following in the fashion world right now.
