When it came time for her parents to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary, Kelly Hardwick decided to take a twenty hour flight home to give them the surprise of a lifetime. Her long trip ended up totally being worth it when she saw the looks on her parents’ faces after the surprise was revealed!

Kelly hatched the plan for her surprise visit with her twin sister Karrie, who still lives in Newton, Illinois with their parents, Steve and Susie. Kelly now lives in Singapore, and when she began planning this surprise visit with her sister, they could not have imagined that it would end up being one of the best surprises ever!

Kelly and Karrie arranged the former’s flight home without their parents even knowing. On the night of the celebration, the twins switched places with Kelly pretending to be Karrie. When Kelly walked into the kitchen that morning, her mother didn’t even look at her twice because she assumed she was talking to Karrie. She walked right past her dad also, but he did not notice that anything was amiss either!

Their daughter had just returned home from the other side of the world, and her parents did not even know she was standing right in front of them!

It’s only when the second twin enters and says “Are you sure I’m not aunt Karrie?” that the parents realize what is up. Their reactions when they realize their daughter has surprised them are absolutely priceless! It’s clear that this family has a lot of love for each other, and that they had a great time celebrating.
