A touching video is going viral this week that reminds us of the sacrifices that members of the United States military and their families make for their country.

Marine Cpl. Brandon Crespo’s wife Francis was pregnant with a baby boy when he was deployed, and at times, the couple could only speak once a month. This left Francis having to navigate the difficulties of pregnancy completely on her own, having to get herself to and from doctors appointments while also keeping her mind and body healthy as she stressed about whether or not her husband was safe.

In June of last year, Francis gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Noah. Though Brandon could not physically be there with her, he was able to use a phone to call her and listen in as she gave birth. Brandon could not wait for the day when his six month deployment finally ended so that he could go meet his son for the first time.

Finally, Brandon’s deployment came to an end, and the video below opens with him and his fellow Marines being dismissed at their base in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Francis and Noah were there waiting for him along with a sign that read, “Out of my way! I meet my daddy today!”

As soon as Brandon saw his wife and son, he began sprinting towards them, not wanting to spend another second away from them. When he reached them and saw his son for the first time, Brandon could not help but burst into tears.

Francis posted video of Brandon meeting his son online so that their friends and family could see it, never expecting it to go viral. She could not believe it when the video did indeed go viral, and it has since been viewed over three million times!
