A Texas police officer has just come up with a clever and original way to teach someone a lesson after he parked a pickup across two spaces.

The Southlake police officer discovered that the Ram truck was parked over the line and encroaching on a handicapped spot, so the artistic cop went to work drawing a coloring book style page with an outline of the department’s badge that read, “We noticed you had a little trouble staying in the lines when you parked next to a handicapped space … Maybe if you practice coloring our patch and staying in the lines here, it could help you avoid citations in the future?”

The Southlake Police Department posted images of the drawing on Facebook, where they quickly went viral.

“We try to avoid snark and sass (we REALLY do), but sometimes our fair citizens make it hard,” they captioned the post. “Please stay in the lines when you park ESPECIALLY if it’s next to a handicapped spot or you might be the recipient of one of our new fliers. Be kind and drive kind and park kind! Let this graphic be an attention grabbing example so we don’t have to end up going to FedEx Kinko’s and making like thousands of copies of these.”

Social media users have been praising the officer for his drawing, saying that it was a great idea. As for the driver, he was able to get off with a warning for the minor infraction, which could have resulted in a $200 fine.
