Sailor is a Mastiff, a dog breed that’s known for their ginormous size. Despite her size, Sailor is a bit of a scaredy cat, especially when it comes to water!

Sailor lives in Tucson, Arizona with her owner Brad H., who has decided to teach her to swim and document the lessons on YouTube. In the first video of the series, Sailor is clearly very nervous about the water, but Brad is right there to calm her down and walk her through it.

Finally, Brad convinces Sailor to get into the water and doggy paddle around in the pool for a bit before bringing her back to land.

Sailor’s second swimming lesson is the one that has gone mega-viral, being viewed nearly two million times thanks to the stellar progress she has made. Sailor could not look more adorable in her life jacket, and she even starts to paddle when Brad lets go of her, showing that she does indeed want to learn to swim.

The way Sailor has conquered her fear of water is so inspiring. If she can do this, we can certainly face our fears head on as well!

Social media users can’t get enough of this cute and determined dog.

“She displayed a lot of trust there. Can only be earned. Good job,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “This warms my heart. So many people just throw their dogs into the water then laugh at their desperate, panicked paddling but you let her feel safe and took it gently, setting her up for success. Good job!”
