Carlos De Antonis is a taxi driver from Miami, Florida who absolutely loves to listen to classical opera music. In his home city, he has garnered a reputation for having both a goofy attitude but an astoundingly beautiful singing voice. That’s why he finally decided to share his gifts with the world by auditioning for “America’s Got Talent!”

The video below opens with Carlos nervously stepping onstage and saying hello to the judges. Regardless of how confident someone is, nothing can prepare them for walking out onstage to audition in front of millions. Given his unassuming appearance, the judges did not quite know what to expect from Carlos. As soon as he opened his mouth to sing “Nessun Dorma,” however, they knew that a true star was on their stage.

After Carlos finished his incredible performance, judge Howie Mandel was the first to address him.

“Your character, you’re just so giving!” Mandel said. “Do the people in your cabs request this or does this just break out in the middle of a ride?”

“You sing with such passion! It comes right from the depth [of your soul] and you spread it all out!” added judge Mel B.

Even the notoriously difficult to please judge Simon Cowell could not deny just how talented Carlos really was. Needless to say, the judges sent Carlos through to the next round with flying colors!
