The world suffered a major tragedy on Monday when the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France became engulfed in flames. After the fire was finally extinguished, a mother from Scotland was looking at photos of the fire when she saw something that is now giving hope to millions of people all over the world.

Lesley Rowan, a mom from Alexandria in West Dunbartonshire, was looking at pictures in the fire when she noticed a figure in the flames that she believes was Jesus Christ pointing out from the inferno.

“I may be letting my mind play tricks on me here, folks take a close look at this picture and what do you see,” she wrote on Facebook. Other social media users quickly let her know that they could see Jesus as well.

“When I looked at this photo last night, I was really astounded by what I saw,” Lesley said. “When I look at it I see a silhouette of Jesus. I really see a vivid image. I feel like it will bring comfort to people in Paris and all over the world at this sad time.”

The image of Jesus is giving Christians all over the world hope, as it serves as a reminder that no matter how bad things get, the son of God will always be there with us.

This comes after French President Emmanuel Macron pledged that the cathedral will be rebuilt “even more beautifully” within the next few years as he urged the French nation to “come together.”

“We will rebuild Notre Dame even more beautifully and I want it to be completed in five years, we can do it,” Macron promised.
