A man from Atlanta, Georgia thought he was being pranked this past week when he returned home from work to find that a new crosswalk had been painted leading right to his driveway.

Matthew Miller said that he did not know what to think when he saw the crosswalk, and he could only imagine that it was a joke.

“I was in disbelief, to be honest with you,” Miller said. “I literally stopped, paused, looked at it and thought, ‘This has got to be a joke. I’m getting punked or there is something clearly wrong here.'”

“It’s ridiculous. It makes no sense. It’s the craziest thing I’ve seen,” Miller later added. “I was baffled. I sort of felt like I had been punked.”

Miller immediately rewound his home security footage so that he could see what happened, and he watched in disbelief as workers painted the crosswalk right in front of his property. He now believes the contractors were hired by the homeowners’ association, and he is not happy at all about what they did.

“It puts an extreme amount of focus on the house,” he said. “I think it puts attention on the house. I think that it is almost comical.”

“Someone had to authorize this, whether it’s the HOA or the builder,” Miller said, adding that he now fears that even backing out of his garage will create a hazard.

“I would like to see the error, which it is in my opinion, I would like to see the error fixed,” he continued.

He has since been able to get work crews to return to his home to remove the crosswalk.
