Over the past twenty years, Judge Judy has become one of the most popular personalities on television. She is known for both her no-nonsense attitude and for her signature bob hairstyle. It came as a huge surprise to her fans  when she changed up her hair this week!

For the first time in 22 years, Judge Judy showed up in court this week with a completely new look. Viewers could not believe their eyes when they saw that the 76 year-old had changed up her hair and was rocking a ponytail! Fans are used to seeing unexpected things happen in Judge Judy’s courtroom, but the judge’s looks have remained a constant.

Many are comparing Judge Judy’s new hairstyle to that of Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. When asked about her new look, Judge Judy’s bailiff Byrd said, “I tried to stay out of this, y’all won’t let me! I prefer my boss with the old ‘do.’ More sophisticated and ‘Judy’cial.”

The Wikipedia page of Judge Judy’s show states that it “has won three Emmy awards and has had the highest ratings in courtroom programming in the United States. The program debuted in 1996 and its 23rd season commenced in September 2018. In March 2015, Sheindlin and CBS Television Distribution extended their contract through the program’s 25th season.” Love or hate her new hairdo, it’s safe to say that Judge Judy’s show is not going anywhere anytime soon!
