Fast food restaurants are great options for those who want to grab a quick bite to eat, but they aren’t exactly known for having the highest quality of service. As such, it’s no surprise that a rare story is going viral this week about a fast food worker performing a selfless act of kindness for a customer in need.

Robert Gooch was standing in line checking his email at his local Chick-fil-A restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi when he heard something happening at the front of the line that had him taking notice. Robert saw that the customer at the front was wearing clothes that suggested that he was homeless, and he only had a $5 that was clearly the only money that he had.

He noticed the homeless man asking an employee named Karina about various items on the menu, and the man soon realized that he did not have enough money to pay for anything.

Karina made some suggestions to him on what to order and soon handed him a full meal. When the man said that he could not afford it, Karina told him not to worry about it and that the meal was on her. Robert was so touched by her actions that he took to Facebook to praise her!

“It would have been so easy to turn around and ask the manager to step in or for help but she didn’t she just said hey it’s on me,” he wrote. “She could have just gave him water and took his money and went on to the next customer and again she didn’t she just did it.”

We need more people in the world like Karina! Remember Karina’s compassion next time you have the opportunity to help someone in need out.
