Spring is finally here, which means millions of Americans are getting back outside to their gardens. If you’re looking for ways to switch up your garden this spring, we’d like to suggest that you try edging.

In the article below, you’ll see some natural or recycled materials that you can use to transform your gardens. Scroll through these and try and figure out which one is right for your garden!

Bamboo

Bamboo is both sustainable and easily grown material, and it looks great in any garden. It also does not require any maintenance to keep up, so lining up your garden with bamboo is always a great idea!

Shells

Full clam shells are another great option that will certainly make your garden pop. The best part about putting shells on the edge of your garden is that they will blend in with any other surrounding, making them the perfect addition to your garden.

Wine Bottles

This is admittedly unorthodox, but hear us out first. Using glass bottles that you have recycled is great for your garden because they look great and they’re simple to set up. All you have to do is pack the dirt around the edge of your garden tightly and then insert the neck of the wine bottle into the ground.

Stacked Stone

Depending on the stone you use, stacking stones around your garden can change the entire look of it. If you keep your edging under 18 inches, you probably won’t need mortar to hold the stones together.

Woven Wattle

Finally, you can use thin wooden branches to create a woven wattle garden edge that will add a rustic and a natural feeling. This has been popular in Europe for hundreds of years, and you’ll see why right away when you incorporate this into your garden!
