“I Got You Babe” was originally written by Sonny Bono, who first performed it with his then-wife Cher in 1965. The song reached the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on top of the charts for three weeks, hitting number 1 in the USA and Canada and selling more than a million copies.

Decades later, the song is still incredibly popular, which is why Cyndi Lauper and Adam Lambert decided to perform it together.

Cyndi is a 65 year-old singer whose career has spanned decades. Meanwhile, Adam is a 37 year-old performer who was the runner up on the eighth season of “American Idol.” The two both have powerful voices, and together, they sound like complete magic!

As Cyndi and Adam performed, Cher could be seen in the audience with a huge smile on her face. She clearly enjoyed this rendition of the classic song that she made famous decades ago!

Video of their performance has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 500,000 times!

“Cyndi Lauper was fabulous as always. I have so much respect for her. And of course, Adam is always absolutely amazing in everything he does. This duet was just so right. It was perfect,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Adam and Cyndi had so much fun performing together. It’s a real treat to watch them.”
