You never know when you might cross paths with an internationally known celebrity. One second you could be going about your day minding our own business, and the next, you could be rubbing shoulders with someone famous! This is exactly what happened recently to a New York City woman who came into contact with a famous celebrity when she least expected it.

The woman was riding the subway one day when a man wearing a bomber jacket and sunglasses offered up his seat for her. It was only when the woman looked over that she realized that the man was actor and comedian Ben Stiller, who she is a big fan of!

“Oh my God!” the woman screamed. “No mentira, tu me haces reír mucho!” (“You make me laugh so much!”)

The woman proceeded to hilariously remove the curlers from her hair so she can look her best. Even Ben himself could not help but laugh during the encounter! Her reaction was filmed by an instagram user who captioned it, “When @benstiller casually gives up his seat on the #NYC subway & then this.”

Though Ben was probably hoping to go unnoticed on the train, he was kind and gracious to the woman. It’s nice to know that unlike many famous actors, Ben is a true gentleman behind the scenes. Video of the woman’s reaction has quickly gone viral, with social media users everywhere saying that they can relate to her.

“OMG I wouldve freaked out too! Ben Stiller is one of the coolest actors you could possibly meet,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “That’s wicked cool of him for still riding the subway. His fame clearly hasn’t gone to his head. He seems like a genuine and the average person. Then to give up his seat for a lady ! Very sweet of him.”
