A retired teacher from New Jersey recently got to cross appearing on the beloved game show “Price Is Right,” and he ended up being the big winner!

Bruce Zehnle spent 35 years teaching Spanish at Union Catholic Regional High School, and he was overjoyed when he was called down to compete on “Price Is Right” with Drew Carey. Bruce was wearing a custom t-shirt that showed his impressive “bucket list” accomplishments. The bucket list items that he had crossed off included skydiving, running with the bulls and visiting Antartica. In an episode that aired Friday, Bruce finally got to cross off the last item, appearing on the infamous game show.

Bruce’s time on “A Price Is Right” ended up exceeding his wildest dreams, as he walked away with a new car and the final showcase valued at nearly $50,000, with a second car, two trips (to Bali, Indonesia and New Orleans), home DJ equipment, designer shoes and an outdoor patio set. Now that is quite a payday!

Since Bruce won the show, his former students have been posting messages of congratulations for him, saying that his appearance reminded them of the way he acted in the classroom.

“He was an incredible teacher who cared about every student and inspired one of my own classmates to go on to a Spanish teaching career as well,” one student wrote. “This couldn’t have happened to a more deserving fellow.”

It’s so nice to see someone so deserving get to live out his dream and walk away a big winner. Check out his appearance for in the video below!
