With all the negativity in the world today, it’s easy to forget that there are still good people in the world who are doing kind things for one another. That’s why it’s so nice that a story is going viral in which a young man performs a random act of kindness for a stranger at a restaurant.

Heather Leigh was out with friends at Mt. Clemens Grill when she saw the touching act of kindness happen right before her eyes.

It was right in the middle of lunch hour, so the restaurant was packed with many people waiting at the door, including an elderly woman who was hoping to get a table. Out of nowhere, a young man approached the lady and asked her if she would like to sit with him at his table, which had three empty seats.

“So we were out to lunch and it was super crowded,” Heather recounted. “There were quite a few groups of people at the door waiting to be seated and then there was this lady who was alone. Out of nowhere, this young man gets up and walks up to the lady and says, ‘I have three empty seats at my table, would you like to sit with me so you don’t have to wait?'”

The young man escorted the woman to his table and pulled out a chair for her. As they had their lunch together, they chatted at times and silently enjoyed their food at others. Heather snapped a photo of them eating together, writing, “…the four of us at our table with our hearts MELTING as he ushers her over to his table and pulls out the chair next to him, not across from him, to sit down.”

Heather decided to post the photo on Facebook as a reminder of how powerful an act of kindness can be. Her post has quickly gone viral, touching the hearts of people all over the world! Hopefully, we can all pay this forward by performing similar acts of kindness the next time we get the opportunity to do so.
