Marc is a young father who just had the worst year of his life. His beloved wife was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, and within months, she was gone. This left Marc having to raise their two children alone and work his grueling job as an overnight custodian in Minnesota while also having to grieve his wife on top of all of that.

Marc struggled to pay the bills himself, and before long, the family found themselves sleeping in their car. Marc and his children started going to see an occupational therapist. As Marc shared with the therapist about their dire situation, he had no idea that a woman named Holly could hear him from out in the waiting room.

Holly was so devastated by what she heard that she took to social media to post a simple message asking for donations for the family. It did not take long for the donations to start pouring in!

“My living room has never looked so beautiful… Remember this visual on the days when the news is nothing but doom and gloom,” Holly wrote in an update. “People are kind… People are generous… You guys amaze me.”

Everything from toys, to clothes, to cash started pouring in from goodhearted members of the community who just wanted to help Marc.

So many donations came in that Holly had trouble keeping track of them all!

Marc’s daughter could not believe all the gifts she had gotten, with her favorite being the pink nail polish!

The photo below show’s Marc’s therapist finally introducing him to Holly, who is on the right in the picture below. Holly did not have to do what she did for him, and that’s exactly what makes her heroic in the eyes of so many.
