A powerful video is going viral this week showing thirty senior citizens get to fulfill their dreams of seeing the ocean for the very first time.

The thirty folks come from the landlocked city of Medellin, Colombia, and they had dreamed of seeing the ocean firsthand their entire lives. Thanks to the Unbound’s Antioquia program, the seniors were finally given the chance to live this dream when they were taken on a trip to the coastal city of Cartagena.

Most of the elders in the video below had never travelled far from the communities that they were born in, so this was quite literally the trip of a lifetime.

“Their whole lives they’d dreamed of the sea, but it was only a dream until someone listened,” the program posted on Instagram alongside the video. “Follow the journey of 30 Unbound elders from the landlocked city of Medellin, Colombia, as they travel to see the ocean for the first time.”

Social media users can’t get enough of the touching video, saying that it melts their heart to see people have their dreams come true.

“This is so heart warming!” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Why am I crying?”

“Awhhh…. crying!!!” a third user wrote. “To think I live near it every day and I rarely have time to stop to enjoy it.. this is such s beautiful story. Thank you! Bless all of you who make this happen for them!!”

This story is a reminder that dreams can still come true no matter your age! Check out the video for yourself below.
