Alejandro Aranda is a 24 year-old dishwasher from Pomona, California who is already being hailed as the frontrunner to win this season of “American Idol” after he blew the judges away with his audition.

Walking in with just his guitar, Alejandro gave his audition everything he had, and it paid off in a big way!

Alejandro made the risky decision to sing a song that he had written himself called “Out Loud.” This could have backfired on him, but he is such a talented songwriter that the judges immediately fell in love with the tune. Judges Lional Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan all looked on with awe at the amazing young singer, who gave them a unique mixture of Latin and folk music.

Luke couldn’t help but have his mouth fall open in surprise at the sheer talent Alejandro was exhibiting!

As soon as he was done, the judges heaped praise on Alejandro, leaving the humble singer stunned.

“That was the greatest….” Lionel said. “You, my friend, are so talented. I am so inspired.”

“I just feel like I’m in the presence of greatness,” Luke agreed. “I am so glad you are here. It was like watching my favorite movie that I didn’t want to end.”

“You are so special. You are an absolute genius,” Katy said, with Lionel adding, “You have such a career. And the fact that you don’t know it makes it even more special. There’s nothing like you my friend.”

Alejandro was overcome with emotion as he heard the judges’ kind words.
