A California man who was forced to shorten his garden fence after his neighbor complained just got revenge in a way that has internet users everywhere in stitches.

Jason Windus of Santa Rosa who was forced to resize his fence, set up a garden party of naked mannequins in full view of the neighbors’ homes. He explained that he had built the fence to keep his dogs in his yard, but his neighbor complained to city officials, who then forced him to either reduce the fence or pay a fine.

“It is very serious,” Jason said. “They made me freak out. They were going to fine me every day it wasn’t taken down. As much as $500 a day.”

The fence was originally six feet, and Jason chopped it down to the required 36 inches. Once the fence was shortened, he set up the five naked mannequins lounging in plain view of the complainant.

“I don’t know who it is and I’m sure they’re not going to come forward,” Jason said of the protesting neighbor. “And even if they do, this is just a statement for them — maybe mind your own business a little bit.”

Jason owns a moving company, and he explained that he got the mannequins on a job cleaning out a clothing store.

“I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away,” he said. “I was going to use them for target practice.”

Jason also put up a sign that reads, “Reserved seat for the nosey neighbor that complained about my fence to the city.”

“This is America, we are supposed to be able to have fences in our yards and have privacy,” Jason continued. “I guess the average person would cop a resentment and get all angry but I threw a naked party in my yard. They wanted me to tear my fence down so they could see inside my yard and now they get to.”
