The 1972 film The Godfather is widely considered to be the most well-made movie of all time. That’s why so many fans are so excited right now after the iconic home of the Corleone family in the movie was just put on the market for $1.37 million.

Located in the wealthy Emerson Hill neighborhood in Staten Island, the the Tudor-style home includes four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and includes three fireplaces. Built in the 1940s, the 3,012 square foot house sits on 0.4 acres of land.

Much of the home has stayed the same since it was featured in the classic movie, including the property’s address plate, stones that surround the main entrance and the gate. The basement was recently redone and now has it’s own exterior entry access point, however.

The home also features many stained glass windows that bring beautiful natural light into the house’s music room, living room, dining room and family room.

The house was bought back in 1977 by Elaine and Peter Albert for $195,000. Now in their 70s, the couple raised three children in the home.

“It was peaceful,” Elaine said. “The [school] bus came to the corner. It was nothing like the movie.”

John Vernazza, the listing agent for the property, said that he has already been flooded with inquiries from people who want to view the home.

“One … was quoting all sorts of lines [from the film],” he explained.

Something tells me that it won’t be long before someone gives Vernazza an offer for the home that he can’t refuse!
