Costco is one of the most popular stores in the United States because it offers major discounts to customers, allowing them to buy groceries, home products and even gas for lower prices. Many pay the $55 to purchase a Costco membership that will save them hundreds of dollars a year, but it has recently been revealed that doing this might not actually be necessary.

While there are some Costco benefits you only have access to as a member, there are other perks that you can get without purchasing a membership. Here are some ways that you can still take advantage of the Costco experience without actually being a member.

Grab a Costco Cash Card

This cash card holds up to $100, and you can use it to buy anything in the store. If you end up with a total that is higher than the card’s limit, you can use cash to cover whatever is left over!

Alcohol is way cheaper at Costco, and in many states, you don’t need a club card to buy booze there. That’s why Costco is the best place to buy alcohol whether you have a membership or not.

Accompany a Friend with a Membership

Costco has very relaxed rules, so every member is allowed to bring a guest with them. If you’re curious about a membership, have your purchase added to your friend’s bill and then reimburse them afterwards.

Order Prescriptions from the Pharmacy

You don’t need to be a Costco member to get prescriptions from the store’s pharmacy, so this is the perfect place to get those prescriptions of yours filled.

Shop The Website

Finally, there are many non-member options on the Costco website, so you don’t even need to leave your house to be a shopper at the store. The one issue with shopping online as a non-member is that your purchase may be subjected to a 5% markup if you don’t have a membership.
