When it comes to funerals, honoring the deceased can be a very personal and unique experience for each individual. The family in this story decided to do something very special to honor trucker Mark Shuman after he passed away of brain cancer last month at the age of 48.

Mark owned a trucking company that he was very passionate about, so his family decided to give him “one last ride” on a semi that had been completely customized to honor him.

Mark’s son Luke posted a video to Facebook showing his father’s casket being loaded onto a pink and silver truck with a waving American flag. On the side of the truck was written the words “In loving memory of Mark Shuman” in custom decal.

Later on, an enormous convoy of trucks passed Mark’s funeral in what Luke described as an “awesome tribute.” He added that this was a “very emotional, yet proud day for everybody.”

“Anyone who knew my dad knows he likes to go big,” he wrote. “You can tell just by looking at some of the trucks he designed in this video.”

Luke made sure to thank the team of truckers for participating in honoring his dad.

“The sound of all of your horns blaring at once gave me goosebumps, a smile from ear to ear and many tears,” he said.

Video of the tribute has quickly gone viral, with many other truckers saying that they would love to be honored in the same way when they pass on.

“I’ve been driving for 33 years and this is how I want to be delivered to heaven,” one trucker wrote. “Thank you drivers, that was an awesome way to show your respect. You know he was right in the cab with a big smile on his face!”
