Dave Grohl is an internationally known rockstar who is the frontman of the Foo Fighters and the longest-running drummer of Nirvana. When he’s not performing, however, Dave is the devoted dad of three daughters: 12-year-old Violet Maye, nine-year-old Harper Willow, and four-year-old Ophelia Saint.

Dave enjoys spending time with his daughter so much that he takes them on the road with him whenever he can. That’s how they all recently ended up at the Benioff UCSF Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California.

After performing a few songs himself, Dave surrendered the stage to his daughter Violet for one song. As soon as she opened her mouth, the audience was stunned by how good her voice was!

“I remember her saying, ‘Dads, you’re not even the best singer in the family,’ and she’s right,” Dave said as he introduced her. Violet proceeded to blow everyone away with the Adele song “When We Were Young” as her dad played guitar for her.

The crowd went wild just two or three words into the song, as they knew immediately that they were witnessing something special. After finishing her last note, Violet shyly asked her dad “Did I do okay?” as the crowd erupted into applause. Everyone would definitely give a resounding “YES!” in answer to that question!

Video of Violet’s performance has since gone viral, being viewed over one million times. It’s obvious to everyone that this girl has a long career in music ahead of her that may even rival her father’s someday!
