A cruise ship came to the rescue earlier this month after a pilot and his passenger crashed their plane in the Caribbean.

Princess Cruises’ “Regal Princess” was sailing to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands when the captain announced that they would be changing course to save two people who had found themselves stranded off the coast of Grand Turk.

The pilot had been flying a lightweight aircraft when they crashed, and they were found in a lifeboat waiting for rescue. A viral video shows passengers on the cruise ship cheering as the two men are rescued.

“On a cruise and just watched @USCG and @PrincessCruises Regal crew rescue two people that ditched a light plane in the Atlantic Ocean. Look for the raft and @USCG plane in the photo” one of the passengers wrote on Twitter, making sure to hashtag the word “#Heroes.”

“They were saved! Good job to the #uscoastguardand the #regalprincess crew!” a passenger wrote alongside another video of the rescue.

Witnesses said that the captain later came over the intercom to announce that both men are “doing good.”

“They recovered them with no injuries reported,” said Coast Guard spokesman Seaman Erik Villa Rodriguez.

“Princess Cruises can confirm that upon request from the U.S. Coast Guard Regal Princess assisted in the rescue of two U.S. citizens whose private aircraft went down southeast of Grand Turk in the Caribbean Sea,” the cruise line said. “Both people rescued sailed onboard Regal Princess as the ship sailed to the next port of call St. Thomas. Regal Princess arrived in St. Thomas yesterday.”
