Country music star Brad Paisley has been married to his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley for 16 years, and he has just paid tribute to her in a beautiful way with his new song “My Miracle.”

Brad first laid eyes on Kimberly when he saw her star in the 1991 film Father Of The Bride, and he was immediately taken by her. Though he had a girlfriend at the time, he found himself single when the sequel came out in 1995, and he went to go see the movie alone.

Brad never forgot Kimberly, so when he was looking for someone to star in the music video for the song “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song),” he decided to call her up. The two began dating shortly thereafter, and they immediately hit it off!

Brad and Kimberly tied the knot on March 15, 2003 at the Stauffer Chapel on Pepperdine University’s campus, and they welcomed their first son William in 2007. Two years later, their son Jasper followed.

Paisley is not known for singing intimate romantic ballads, which is why “My Miracle” came as a surprise to his fans. However, he was determined to make the song perfect so that he could honor his wife.

“I write a lot of songs that can be various looks at relationships, from all angles,” Brad said. “Like ‘I’m Gonna Miss Her,’ where you leave the woman for fishing; other songs, where you get your heart broken and you’re dumped; others where it’s about imperfections.”

“You know, I can be a little ornery when it comes to writing love songs,” he admitted. “I don’t typically put it all out there. But in this one I did.”

One of the best lines in “My Miracle” comes when Brad sings, “How could I not have faith in the God that created her?”

We’re so happy that Brad and Kimberly found each other, and we hope they enjoy many years of happiness to come! Check out Brad’s tribute to his wife below.
