A 90 year-old grandfather has found himself becoming a viral sensation on social media after he found himself in an unlucky situation that many have found to be shocking yet funny.

It all started when Alex Stein took to Twitter to share photos of her grandfather Bobby with mint green lips along with a photo of a half-empty can of paint.

“Sooo my grandpa ate half a quart of paint today thinking it was yogurt,” Alex wrote alongside the photos. The tweet quickly went viral, garnering over 330,000 likes.

Alex later said that to everyone’s amazement, Bobby was totally fine, posting a screenshot of a video chat she was having with him along with the caption “his stomach’s completely unfazed.”

“When I say he loves yogurt, he LIVES for yogurt,” Alex said. “My mom buys at least 7 quarts of vanilla Danon yogurt a week.”

Alex, who is from New York, said that Bobby is enjoying his status as a viral star.

“My grandpa has always loved entertaining people,” she said. “He doesn’t care whether ppl are laughing with him or at him.”

Bobby also shared a screenshot of his conversation with Alex on his own social media, explaining that he has “no regrets.”

“Apparently I ate paint this morning…s**t honestly tastes better than yogurt sooo #no #regrets (poison control laughed at me, but they said I’ll be fine),” he wrote.

We’re glad that Bobby is healthy and is having fun with all the attention he’s getting. Hopefully, he will double check the label next time he has yogurt!
