Nikki Leonti is a young woman who knows what it’s like to struggle in life. After years of trying to make it in music, Nikki is finally finding success now, but her journey to stardom has been anything but easy.

Nikki has loved music ever since she was a little girl, when she started getting attention from Christian music scouts at a young age. She was signed as soon as she became a teenager, and just when it seemed like she was about to hit it big, everything came crashing down for her.

Just before Nikki turned 18, she revealed that she was pregnant. The Christian label executives did not think a mother giving birth out of wedlock was right for their brand, so they immediately dropped Nikki. Before she knew what was happening, all of Nikki’s songs were pulled from the radio and all her upcoming tour dates were cancelled.

By the time she gave birth to her daughter, Nikki was at an all-time low.

Years after her music career ended, Nikki got a second chance when Carrie Underwood approached her and asked if she wanted to be a backup singer for her. Nikki then got to live her dream of traveling the country and performing for thousands of people, but she still wanted to try and make it on her own.

This is why she recently decided to try out for “America’s Got Talent” along with her daughter and husband! As soon as the trio took the stage, the judges knew that they were special. While her husband played guitar, Nikki sang her song perfectly.

As soon as they finished the song, the judges sent “The Edgar Family Band” on to the next round! Nikki was overjoyed to find that she was being given a second chance at making her dreams come true!
