LEGOS have been around forever and is still a favorite toy for children of all ages. Now, however, one teenager has found another use for LEGOS that could help improve the lives of people who are missing limbs.

David Aguilar is a 19 year-old from Spain who was born without a right forearm because of a rare genetic condition. He was only 9 years-old when he managed to make a prosthetic arm for himself out of LEGOS.

Though this LEGO arm was functional for David, it was not very strong. It wasn’t until nine years later that David was able to make another prosthetic arm that was so strong that he could do pushups with it!

David is currently a student at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, where he studies bioengineering. He also hosts a popular YouTube show under the name “Hand Solo.”

In the coming years, David is hoping to make other cheaper versions of prosthetics to give more people access to them around the world. He loves using his LEGO arm, and he wants other people who are missing limbs to experience the same thing!

Video of David showing off his LEGO arm has quickly gone viral, being viewed over ten million times!

“LEGO needs to hire this genius,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Wow this kid can build a robotic\lego arm and I’m over here struggling to build a simple house.”

It’s so refreshing to see such a clever young man who wants to help others in similar situations to his own! We can’t wait to see what David creates in the years to come!
