Many mothers want nothing more for their sons than for them to find good wives who will take good care of them. Now, however, a mother has found herself going viral for all the wrong reason after she got a little too hands-on in trying to find a date for her son!

Police in Maryland have issued a warning about a mother who was wandering around the Towson University campus earlier this month looking for dates for her son after numerous students complained.

Multiple students told police that a woman who appeared to be in her 50s approached them and asked if they would go on a date with her son after she showed them a picture of him on her phone.

“The Towson University Police Department is investigating three related incidents occurring in the Cook Library and Center for the Arts buildings on February 6 and 7th,” police said in a statement. “Students have reported being approached by an older female who attempted to show them a picture on her cell phone and ask if they were interested in dating her son.”

Police sent out an advisory to students along with surveillance photos of the mother.

“This incident advisory is being provided in order to make the TU Community aware of an incident on campus that may cause concern,” the advisory read. This advisory is intended to heighten awareness and inform the community of incidents that may impact their safety and security.”

While police are not looking to file criminal charges against the woman, they have said that they would like her to stop playing matchmaker for her son.
