A University of Minnesota student has found himself becoming a viral sensation after he was photographed wearing shorts on a freezing cold day.

Temperatures have been at a record low in the midwest this winter, but that did not seem to bother this young man at all, as he still wore shorts outside despite the bitter cold. Identified only as Miles, he refused to give his last name to the press because he acknowledged that his “mom would be mad.” I think it’s safe to say that she definitely would be!

“Miles, a University of Minnesota student who declined to give his last name because he said his mom would be mad at him for how he was dressed, crossed University Avenue Southeast in shorts Tuesday,” the photo was captioned by the media.

His mom may indeed know about his clothing choices now, as Miles’ photo has gone viral!

“His mom will know,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “I guarantee if his mom saw this photo, she’d immediately know it was her son.”

“If you tasked someone with making the most Minnesotan image and caption of all time, this might be it hahahah,” a third user commented.

While people are having fun with this photo, and it certainly is funny, it’s important to take this cold weather seriously and cover up. Looking cool in shorts is not worth catching a cold, or worse yet, pneumonia! Swap out those shorts for sweat pants next time, Miles!
