Millions of Americans tuned in on Sunday night to see the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Ram in the Super Bowl. Since millions tuned in to watch the Super Bowl, it’s also one of the biggest nights in advertising. It’s no wonder companies spend millions of dollars in the hopes of coming up with the perfect ad to attract customers.

One of the best ads of this year’s Super Bowl was from Microsoft, who came up with a commercial that melted everyone’s hearts.

Microsoft’s commercial showed off their Xbox adaptive controller while also telling the stories of Grover, Owen, Taylor and other children who have special needs. The commercial shows the children talking about how much they love playing video games with other kids because it puts them on an even playing field for the first time in their lives.

One of the most emotional parts of the video comes when Owen’s father talks about the huge difference a video game controller makes in his son’s life.

“When technology empowers each of us, it empowers all of us,” the video description reads. “This Super Bowl, follow the inspirational story of passionate young gamers rising to the top of their game with a little help from their friends, family and the Xbox Adaptive Controller. The story illustrates Microsoft’s commitment to building accessible technology that levels the playing field and creates opportunity for all of us.”

Social media users have caused the commercial to go viral, as they can’t get enough of it.

“The Microsoft commercial and what it stands for are so important. Gaming has been so crucial for disabled people for decades, which is why it’s painful to see people vilify gamers and gaming culture. It’s both escape and empowerment for so many people,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Okay this whole terrible game was worth it just for that Microsoft gaming commercial.”
