Pranks are typically done to cause mischief and make people laugh. In this video, however, a prank is done for a very good cause.

When MediocreFilms approached a Marine named Melissa asking if she wanted to be part of a documentary, she had no idea that she was actually going to be a part of Prank It FWD, a YouTube video series that does pranks for good causes.

Melissa has two younger brothers named JJ and Christian, and the three siblings were often separated from their mother, who was in and out of prison. This meant that the two boys were being raised in foster homes, and while they liked their foster parents, they wanted nothing more than to be with their big sister.

As soon as Melissa was of age, she joined the Marines and dedicated her life to becoming more self-disciplined. It was this journey of self-discipline that led her to deciding that she wanted to adopt her two brothers and raise them herself.

Though she was only 21, Melissa went to court and argued in front of a judge that she was the best person to raise the two boys. The judge saw right away that Melissa had the maturity of someone far beyond her years. Though she had the maturity to raise the two boys, the one thing she lacked was the proper finances, and that’s where Prank It FWD came in!

Melissa ended up getting a second cell phone, food and snacks for the road, a prepaid card for gas, $949 in the form of rent for the month, and a brand new RAV4. Needless to say, she was incredibly grateful for all of this!

In the video below, you’ll see Melissa get this life-changing surprise. We would suggest that you have some tissues handy before you watch this!
