King is a 12 year-old dog who has sadly been through quite a lot in life.

The dog spent years living on the streets after being abandoned by his owner, and he sadly lost both his front legs after being hit by a car. After his amputation, King was taken in by the rescue group Marley’s Mutts, and workers with the organization went about trying to find a home. Since King was a senior, this was no easy task, and months went by with them having no luck in finding him a forever home.

When Rocky Kanaka, host of the television show “Dog’s Day Out,” heard about King’s story, he immediately wanted to step in to help. He brought King on his show and took him out of the shelter for a day out. He has done this for many dogs on his show, and it often results in the canines being adopted.

After taking King out of the shelter, Rocky took him on a shopping spree at the pet store, where he bought him everything he touched!

King had never had a toy before, so he was a bit confused when they reached the toy aisle. King ended up choosing a dinosaur toy as well as many others!

“He’s cleaning house!” Rocky joked as King picked treat after treat.

King even picked out a nerf gun!

Just a few days after the show aired, a woman agreed to adopt King. He finally got the forever home that he deserved!
