Every day, the foal trots up to her owner as he does his farm chores and stands in front of him. The only thing that the baby horse wants is a scratch on the booty!

While scratching a foal’s behind seems like a strange thing to do, it’s actually a very common way that little horses get affection. Though patting can be confusing for animals, scratching is something that they typically take as a non-threatening gesture of love.

When the owner starts scratching, the foal makes it clear that she knows that her owner loves her. It is for this reason that it is constantly asking for scratches from the owner!

The foal always seems to find the man wherever she is on the farm to ask for a scratch. In fact, the foal seems to behave more like an eager puppy than a horse at times!
