Joseph Whelan is a 26 year-old father  and tool salesman who has spent years playing in a band while he also raises his 4 year-old son.

Joseph wants to do everything he can to support his young son, so he recently decided to audition for “The X Factor” in the hopes of changing both of their lives forever.

Joseph and the boy’s mother are no longer together, so his child does not live with him, much to his dismay. He is trying to raise his son to know that he can achieve whatever he wants in life if he just puts his mind to it.

When Joseph finally took the stage to audition, he seemed to be a bit nervous. However, the ladies in the audience quickly made him feel more comfortable as they made it clear that they were enamored with him!

The judges were completely blown away when Joseph began to sing.

Meanwhile, Joseph’s son was backstage anxiously waiting to see how the judges would like his dad’s performance.

After the song was over, Joseph’s son could not help but run out onstage and let his dad know how well he did! The audience went crazy when they saw the adorable little boy!

As Joseph picked up his young son, the father could not help but burst into tears. Social media users can’t get enough of the video of Joseph’s audition, as it has been viewed over 26 million times!
