It’s been 45 years since “Happy Days” debuted, but it is still just as loved by fans now as it was then. That’s why it came as such a happy surprise to fans when Henry Winkler, who played the legendary character The Fonz, broke out into the Fonz dance while appearing on “The Tonight Show” this week.

Host Jimmy Fallon was very impressed by his moves, saying, “What an entrance – the audience certainly got their money’s worth.”

“Happy Days” ran from 1974-1984, and one of the most beloved characters was The Fonz, a super slick lady’s man who was known for his black leather motorcycle jacket and slicked-back hair. It’s amazing that all these years later, at the age of 73, Winkler can still pull off these moves!

Social media users praised Winkler for showing off his dance movies after so many years.

“The man is a legend and maybe one of the most genuinely wonderful and likable people in Hollywood,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Such a genuine super nice man. Wish we could see more of him!”

“One of the genuinely nice people in the world. I introduced my son to him at a Con, and my son said, ‘How did you do that quarter trick (in Click) ?’ Mr. Winkler pulls out THE quarter and does the trick! I’m sure he gets asked all the time, but he made my son feel like he was the only one. Just a great human being,” a third user wrote. “If only all celebrities were this nice.”
